Hit Preless manufactured and installed custom office furniture for Generali’s new offices in the Vilharia building, next to the main railway station in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Our part of the project covers oak veneer acoustic panels between workstations, freestanding walnut slat partitions, wardrobe walls with open niches and personal lockers. Everything was made in our own production facility in Medvode and installed by our own crew.
Oak veneer acoustic panels
In the open-plan areas, oak veneer panels separate the workstations. They reduce sound transfer between neighbouring desks and give each workplace a degree of privacy, while the space stays open and bright. The veneer is matched to the other timber surfaces in the room.
Walnut slat partitions
Freestanding partitions made of walnut slats structure the open areas. The slats are set at varying intervals, so the partition divides the space without blocking views or the daylight that reaches deep into the floor plate through the building’s large windows.
Made-to-measure wardrobes and lockers
Along the corridors stand wardrobe walls with open oak veneer niches above a white base, together with personal lockers for staff. Each unit was made to the dimensions of its exact position, so it fits walls, columns and building services precisely.
From drawings to installation
The client worked with one team throughout. We prepared the shop drawings, manufactured the furniture at our Medvode facility, delivered it with our own vehicles and installed it. Vilharia was designed by the Danish practice Schmidt Hammer Lassen. In the same building, we are now fitting out the new offices of Delavska hranilnica; other projects are listed in our references.
Heka Interior, NOX Interier and Hotel NOX
We develop office furniture under our own brand, Heka Interior. Its website describes a complete office fit-out and presents the range of office chairs. Our group also includes the NOX Interier furniture showroom and Hotel NOX in Ljubljana, where our work with timber and veneer can be seen in use.
